Bridal Portrait Session

Here are a couple of photos from a bridal portrait session I did for Andrea at Second Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC.

Engagement Photo Shoot

Here's a shot from an engagement shoot I did back in January for Nate and Allie. It was a very cold January morning!

Favorite Portraits...

As convenient as it is to shoot digital, I still love the tonality of film, especially for black and white portraiture.

This is a portrait taken a few years back of my friend Michael Richmond. Mike's an incredible artist working with the pencil, so check out his web site www.michaelrichmond.com to see examples of his work.

Anyway, this was shot with my old Canon 35mm film camera, an elan 7, using Ilford XP-2, a chromogenic black and white film that scans just beautifully!

Custom Jewelry (Photos and Website)

I just finished standing up a new website for a local custom jewelry maker. The website address is www.beetasbling.com if you want to see the end result.

I also did all of the photography, since it was critical to have really good photos to show off the high quality of her work. Here's one example.

Well, any publicity is good publicity...

Back in April, one of my photos won 2nd place in the Charleston Artist Guild's annual Signature Show. We'd sent a press release to the local newspaper, the Moultrie News, with a copy of the photo and the details.

Well, this week's Moultrie News finally ran the story... with somebody else's photograph! Dre Neff followed up with the paper, and they apologized; apparently, an intern used the wrong photo. So, hopefully, there will be an update in their paper soon. I feel bad for whoever had their photo misrepresented as mine, too.

Here's the photo that actually won 2nd place.

Susan Gregory Pottery

Here's a photo from a recent shoot I did for local artist and potter Susan Gregory. Susan's work can be seen at Cone 10 Studios in Charleston, SC.
